It’s a challenge every employer faces today: how to control benefits costs for both the company and employees while safeguarding the health of employees and their families. Starting in 2007, LP employees in the U.S. saw a change designed to control rapid cost escalation while
maintaining quality coverage for employees.
In 2007, LP introduced a new program for U.S. employees, “Building
Our Healthy Future.” It’s based on the idea that making small, positive
changes in health can add up, making a big difference in employees’
well-being and keeping health-care costs more affordable. LP provides
health assessments and screenings, counseling and other resources to
help people set wellness goals. By participating in the programs,
employees have the opportunity to substantially reduce their health-care
deductibles and take positive steps toward life-long health.
